Älvsborgsbron

The mint green suspension bridge is called Älvsborgsbron and was built in 1966. It connects the island Hisingen with the mainland, thus it is a busy bridge with more than 65 000 cars passing each day. Even if Älvsborgsbron is one three connections between Hisingen and the mainland the heavy traffic is a current issue in Gothenburg and one are discussing to build yet another bridge or tunnel.
